February 25: I love

our neighborhood coffee shop. Here in our town, local coffee shops are not a dime a dozen... in fact, as far as I know, this one is it. I love that it has funky art, that it has kids toys in the back (and no one yells at you if your kid happens to wander back into the kitchen... often). I love that Sammy the owner is always complaining about something, that he lights up when our little family schlepps in. I love the sweet older man who plays his guitar there for children. It really has this wonderful neighborhood feel, and it's always a joy to drop in, or when the weather warms up a bit, walk down. Even though we haven't been able to go to one yet, I love that it has folk and bluegrass concerts in the evenings (note to self: find a babysitter. Go to one of these.) And, of course, I love the coffee itself.

Don't forget to check out what everyone else is loving through my love button. I believe Kerry is hosting a little giveaway.

Oh isn't it a great place! And who wouldn't light up at the sight of your adorable family!

oh! i have a love affair with a local coffee shop too! my kids have grown up in it....literally, nursing many hours away there with me when they were teeny. there is a sandbox on the back patio that they have all grown up playing in too. i love that you love how the owner is always complaining. that is funny. and, you made me laugh with your comment today about how you laugh when sledding too. i do the same thing on roller coasters. why are most people so quiet on these thilling rides? i couldn't be quiet if i tried.

Coffee is a new love of mine. I have tried to resist for so long, but it has finally gotten to me.

Just give me a little heads up before one of the nighttime shows, so I can make sure Adam will be home too, and we'll be your babysitters - for both girls!

Thanks, Jeanne, you're the best! And glad to see there's so many other coffee-shop lovers out there.
