Babies

Dorothy in the first three, and then Clara on the left.  They are still looking distinct to us (Zosia tells me "Clara has a purple face."  Which is sort of true.  Whenever we're having trouble telling them apart, we just ask Zosia, because that girl is observant).

Just a few swaddled baby pictures!  We are all bundled up inside on a cold cold (below freezing!  This doesn't happen much in Virginia!) and snowy day.  Having two babies asleep under the roof makes it feel just right.  The girls are playing "nursery" with about twenty baby dolls, Hugo and Ben are building train tracks (seriously, these two could play like that for hours, I think), and I am folding laundry.  We now officially have six piles of folded laundry going, one for each member of the family and one for the twins.  It makes me smile to fold tiny newborn clothing.

Oh Adele and Ben, you paint your life in such glorious watercolors...in it all I am falling in love with these two little ones..and more in love with how you so wonderously say yes to the chaos.

Seriously, they are just so beautiful! Great work, Adele and Ben!

I came across this by a friend of mine who has twin girls: http://www.survivingourblessings.com/2013/06/dear-new-twin-mom.html

Her twins are now two, and everybody concerned has survived. And all three of her children are just wonderful in their three different ways.

Here's a piece of advice that should make sense to you: be sure to label all pictures of the babies with names and dates. You may think now that you will always be able to tell them apart, but in ten years it might not be so easy. And having a date on it is very helpful, too.

Thanks, Rachel! Oh, you would love them: and hopefully will come to know them in the future.

Thank you for that link, Melissa! I finally had a chance to read it, and am so thankful that I did.
